This policy explains what information KB 3D Print (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use our 3D-print quoting and order service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to print and deliver your order.
01 Overview
KB 3D Print provides an in-browser tool to estimate the cost of printing a model and to place an order with us. We are based in Mumbai, India, and serve customers locally.
In short: your model is read in your browser to show a preview and estimate, and the details you submit are used only to process and deliver your order.
02 What we collect
Information you provide
- Contact & delivery details — your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, entered when you place an order.
- Order details — your chosen quality, infill, colours, any notes you add, and the generated order ID.
- Your model file — the STL you upload (see the next section for how it is handled).
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and any reverse proxy may process standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type as part of serving the site securely. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
03 How your files are handled
- When you upload an STL, it is parsed locally in your browser to generate the 3D preview and price estimate. The file is not uploaded to us simply by previewing it.
- When you place an order, your file and order details are sent to us so we can review, slice and print the model.
- Order notifications and files are delivered to our internal order channel. We keep your file only as long as needed to complete and support your order.
04 How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- generate your estimate and 3D preview;
- review, price, print and deliver your order;
- contact you about your order, including via WhatsApp;
- provide support, handle remakes or refunds, and keep records;
- operate, secure and improve the service.
06 Retention
We keep order details and files for as long as necessary to complete your order and to meet reasonable business, support and legal requirements, after which we delete or anonymise them. If you'd like your file removed sooner, just ask.
07 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. To make a request, use the contact details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
08 Security & local data
- We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
- The quoting tool runs in your browser and may keep small amounts of data on your device to make the tool work. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
